This set of four courses on home modifications was developed through a National Institutes of Health grant to I.D.E.A.S., Inc. The courses are designed for professionals (e.g., remodelers/contractors, planners, personnel of organizations representing the elderly and people with disabilities, occupational and physical therapists, policymakers) who work directly or indirectly in the field of supportive home environments.

Each course follows a similar format, providing detailed information about the various causes of limitations that can make it difficult to perform everyday activities and the range of enviromental modifications that can be implemented to compensate for these limitations.
