Diane Sprague is director of the "Lifetime Home Project," which is based in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area and promotes inclusive home and community design through outreach, training, and technical support. From 1980 through 2005, she was on the staff of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency. As a housing policy specialist from 1994 through 2005, she monitored, developed, and provided technical assistance on housing/service initiatives for seniors and persons with a disability. Major efforts included inter-agency work on state long-term care policy reform, disability homeownership and home improvement financing programs, and supportive housing for persons with serious mental illness and other long-term disabilities. As a senior housing development officer from 1980 through 1994, Diane created/coordinated the AgencyÕs statewide home accessibility remodeling program; created/coordinated a rental subsidy demonstration for persons with mental illness; coordinated a rental rehabilitation financing program; and provided technical assistance on a range of internal and external special needs housing issues.

From 1974-1979, she was a planner with the Minnesota GovernorÕs Planning Council on Developmental Disabilities, managing its grant cycle and providing policy development and Council staff support. From 1971-1973, Diane was an associate planner with the Regional Planning Commission (metropolitan Cleveland, OH), working on a range of area housing studies. She has an undergraduate degree in political science (Miami University, Oxford, OH) and a graduate degree in public affairs (Humphrey Institute, University of Minnesota).
