Glow in the Dark Objects Prevent Falls

Photo luminescent products are being created as the demand for those products rise due to safety issues. Photo luminescent materials provide a low-level glow that can be used to mark paths and the technology for these products have improved a great deal that they can last for many hours. Using florescent lights are more prone at accidents because people loose their dark adaptation once they turn off the light. Thus, it is harder to see and safely negotiate their path. However, photo luminescent lights are much safer because it is able to retain the person’s ability to see important detail in dark areas.

In a hospital in Melbourne , Australia after 15 photo luminescent seats were installed, there was a significant drop in elderly falls because many senior adults have to relieve themselves at night and they would have trouble finding their way back to their beds.
Furthermore, in New York , building codes will be requiring photo luminescent signs in the exit stairways of tall buildings.

The goal of Maravilla was to build a landmark housing community to meet the consumer’s needs and expectations, therefore Maravilla had to address the community’s lifestyle.
