New Interest-Free Loan for Home Healthcare

jfla logoOffered by the Jewish Free Loan Association (JFLA), this new funding program, Koplove Short-Term Home Healthcare Loan is provided interest-free and fee-free to people in need of short-term in-home care. The loan is non-sectarian, and available to residents of the Greater Los Angeles, Ventura, and Orange County, especially for those who are un- or underinsured.

Though home healthcare is becoming a more popular choice than hospital stays for most elderly adults, the cost is still overwhelmingly expensive. Home Healthcare Loan is established to assist people with expenses of home healthcare services and supplies, such as nurses, in-home care providers, durable medical equipments or supplies, medical home improvements like ramps and railings, and respite services for caregivers. The duration of coverage is between 2 to 12 weeks.

Eligible applications for this fund must be permanent residents of the Greater Los Angeles area with a steady source of income. The interest-free loan may be granted up to $5,000 and issued in as fast as 48 hours, after the review process.

Another great benefit of this loan is its easy and convenient application process. Applicants should be either referred by a healthcare, social service agency, or provide evidence of home healthcare need, then complete a one-page loan application form and promissory note, which can be done by phone interview and fax. If granted, individuals are assigned a flexible monthly payment determined based on the individual information given.
